Have you ever thought about editing clips in Premiere Pro without using a mouse or keyboard? Using TourBox can make this possible.

So, how can you set it up to control TourBox single-handedly for smooth editing in Premiere Pro?

Start by opening your Premiere Pro project, click on the Sequence in the top menu bar, and ensure that "Selection Follows Playhead" is checked.

Switch to the TourBox Console. Here, we recommend using the Up, Down, Left, and Right buttons on TourBox for settings.

Firstly, the shortcut for "Add Edit" on a track in Premiere Pro is "Ctrl/Cmd + K". You can assign this keyboard shortcut to the Up button on TourBox.

In Premiere Pro, using the Delete or Backspace keys can delete clips on a track. Choose one of these and assign it to the Down button on TourBox.

After editing clips, there will likely be gaps on the track. Deleting these gaps one by one is not the most efficient method. So, how can you delete all gaps at once?

Since the 2018 version, Premiere Pro offers a "Close Gap" command in the Sequence menu. When you select all clips on the timeline and execute "Close Gap," all gaps will be removed at once.

However, "Close Gap" doesn't have a default shortcut. The solution is simple: set a custom shortcut for this command in the Premiere Pro keyboard shortcuts panel.

Then, in the TourBox Console, assign "Ctrl/Cmd + A" (select all clips on the timeline) to the Left button and the custom shortcut for "Close Gap" to the Right button.

Don't forget, you can assign the TourBox-provided "Move Timeline Pointer" function to the Knob. In the Built-in settings panel, under the General section, you'll find "Move Timeline Pointer."

Return to your Premiere Pro project. See how you can edit clips solely using TourBox without using the keyboard and mouse.

Turn the Knob on TourBox to control the timeline pointer like a game controller. If you find the Knob's control speed too fast or slow, adjust it in the TourBox Console.

Position the pointer at the beginning and end of the clip you want to delete, and press the Up button to add an edit.

Then move the pointer within this edited clip by turning the Knob, and press the Down button to delete it.
