This chapter is about how to customize the keyboard shortcuts and mouse pointer action on the TourBox, and how to utilize the built-in functions to elevate your workflow.

Assign keyboard shortcuts

Instead of fumbling around the keyboard with an awkward gesture, you can map the shortcut combinations on a single button on the TourBox. One hand, a single click, that’s what it takes.

  • Press any button that you would want to customize and you would be navigated to where the button is, in the preset setting interface.
  • Click it to enter the action custom panel.
  • Here you could customize the actions in multiple ways.
    • Input the keyboard hotkeys in the top column, edit the tag if needed.
    • You can also search the tag in the bottom column.
    • During setup, to prevent hotkey activation, use keyboard and mouse pointer together.

Assign mouse actions

Apart from keyboard shortcuts, you can also assign mouse action on TourBox.

  • Press the button that you need to customize and it would jump to where it is in the preset setting.
  • Click it to enter the action custom panel.
  • You could either,
    • Click  and choose from the list.
    • Find “built-in functions” on the right, and select under “mouse”.

Assign built-in functions

TourBox offers abundant built-in features to help deliver incredible productivity and performance beyond the keyboard.

  • Press the button that you need to customize and it would jump to where it is in the preset setting.
  • Click it to enter the action custom panel.
  • On the right side of the custom panel, you could choose from the list to control various programs, your computer system, and the TourBox Console itself.

What is up mode

The up mode is a very handy feature when setting shortcut combinations. Simply click the  to activate this feature. That way, when this button is clicked and held, there would be no command registered, until you click the second one.
Click the highlighted icon again to turn it off, in which the command would be registered right away at a button click.

  • Press the button and it would jump to the corresponding location on the console.
  • Click it to enter the action custom panel.
  • Click the  on the right to turn it on. Click again to turn it off.

What is rep mode

The REP refers to repetitive commands. In this mode, multiple commands would be registered when the button is clicked and held.

  • Press the button to find it on the console interface.
  • Click  on the right to turn it on. Click again to turn it off.

What speed modes are available

TourBox offers 3 different speed modes for the dial, scroll, and knob.

  • Spin or scroll the dial, scroll, or knob to be directed to where they are on the software.
  • Click the sunburst icon to change from standard speed mode to slow 1 mode  , click again to switch to slow 2 modes  , and click for a third time to switch back to standard mode. Slow 2 is the slowest and standard mode  is the fastest.

Other features

TourBox Console delivers an effortless control experience. You could clear out the current command, reset all settings, swap actions, unfold, and fold the command list without trouble.

Assign macro commands

Macro commands help you register a series of commands via a single click. Configurable commands include keyboard shortcuts, mouse action, delay, text input, file and folder opening, and link(URL) directing.

  • Choose the button you need to customize.
  • Click it to enter the action custom panel.
  • Choose “macro” on the top center.
  • Create actions or groups of actions.

Assign the TourMenu

  • Click the button you would like to configure with a TourMenu.
  • Choose TourMenu on the top right.
  • Click  to create a TourMenu.
  • Mix the actions a little bit if you like. You can choose from keyboard shortcuts, macro commands, and built-in functions.
